FHMS Students and Families, Just a reminder that we will be having a Santa Shop for our students so that they may purchase gifts for their family and friends. The Santa Shop opens Monday, 12/11 and runs through Wednesday 12/13 during each grade level’s WIN time. On the day your child’s WIN group plans to shop, please send them with a list of people for whom they may wish to select gifts. We will also be helping students wrap their gifts during their visit to the shop. Students will bring home their wrapped gifts the day they shop. In addition to the Santa Shop, we have a limited number of Proud Lancer Home yard signs available. Signs, pictured below, will be sold for $5 while supplies last. All proceeds will go towards student rewards, fieldtrips and events.

Good afternoon Amesville families! The December breakfast/lunch calendars are coming home today. Lunch for tomorrow will be pizza, corn, salad with dressing, peaches and milk. A note for parents/guardians who drop off their students in the morning. On mornings when the air temperature or wind chill are below 40 degrees, the playground door will not be propped open. A staff member will be at the door and will let students in as they arrive. Students are able to enter the building at 9:00. Keeping the doors closed will help to keep the school warm on cold mornings.

Coolville Elementary School had the 1st Annual Mario Cart Video Contest this past Thursday. We had kids of all ages k-5 compete and a great time was had by all. Our contest finalists were Matthew in Grade 5, First Place; Barrett in Grade 1, second place; Greyson in Grade 2, third place; Wyatt in Grade 2, 4th place. Great job! We would also like to thank all of the contestants and families who participated, cheered, organized and supported the event. We will be better organized next year for an even better experience for our students.

Federal Hocking High School students visited the OU Russ College of Engineering and Technology for an interactive tour. They visited the Robotics Lab, Machining Lab, and Capstone Lab. They also were able to interact with professors, grad students, and were welcomed by all the staff. This was a wonderful opportunity to learn about assets right in our own county and we sure have some grateful Lancers!
